In the world of private banking in 2025, the Welcome Desk is no longer just a “reception” area—it is the command center of the branch experience. As a fresher, if you have ever walked into a high-end bank like HDFC, ICICI, or Axis and noticed a professional, confident individual greeting customers and solving queries on the spot, you’ve seen the Welcome Desk in action.

The Afternoon Value-Add: Beyond Greeting (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)

  • Lead Generation: Identifying customers who might benefit from an SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) or a Home Loan and directing them to the right department.

  • Account Opening Support: Ensuring that the initial paperwork and OVD (Officially Valid Documents) for new accounts are perfect to avoid “rejection” from the backend.
