A Celebration of Creativity, AI, and Young India

Independence Day 2026 became more than a celebration of freedom. For IBA EDU, it became a celebration of the freedom to imagine, the freedom to create, and the freedom to explore the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence.

The AI Creators Championship 2026 – Independence Day Edition brought together students from across India for a remarkable online creative experience. The event demonstrated something powerful: young learners are not simply interested in AI—they are ready to create with it.

The scale of participation was extraordinary. Students created:

  • 500+ AI Poster Designs

  • 600+ AI Story Books

  • 650+ AI Digital Art creations

  • 700+ AI Innovation Challenge projects

  • 900+ AI Short Films

  • 1,000+ AI Animated Videos

These numbers represent more than just submissions. Behind every creation was a child’s idea, curiosity, experimentation, and willingness to learn something new.

“AI is a tool for imagination and creativity, but the human mind is the true driver.”

— Sakshi S, Educator & Columnist

The championship demonstrated the central philosophy behind IBA EDU’s AI learning initiatives: AI should amplify human creativity, not replace it.

When AI Meets Human Imagination

One of the most memorable aspects of the event was the conversation around the responsible role of AI in education. Guest speakers from education, technology, healthcare, and professional industries shared perspectives that went beyond simply teaching students how to use AI tools:

  • Sakshi S, educator and columnist, encouraged students to ask questions, experiment fearlessly and understand that mistakes are part of the creative process. Her message reinforced the importance of keeping the human mind at the centre of AI-powered creativity.

  • Sharada Priya, General Manager at Midblaze, offered a thought-provoking perspective: humans are the teachers of AI, and AI should be viewed as a student—not as a replacement for human intelligence.

  • Dr. Bhagyalakshmi, Medical Officer with the Greater Chennai Corporation, highlighted how AI is becoming increasingly important across fields such as medicine and encouraged students to develop knowledge that they can apply in their everyday lives.

  • Sujitha Chandran, Senior Software Engineer at PayPal, described AI as a powerful force shaping the world while reminding students that uniquely human qualities such as imagination and empathy cannot be replaced.

  • Sakshi Malik, Quality Analyst Manager, also joined the group of guest speakers contributing to the event’s broader conversation around AI, education and the future.

Together, these perspectives created one powerful message:

AI can make us more capable. But our imagination, empathy, curiosity, and ethical thinking make us human.

More Than a Competition: A Promise for the Future

The Independence Day edition wasn’t only about creating AI projects. Students also came together to take a meaningful pledge—a promise to build better habits and become responsible future creators.

The pledge encouraged students to embrace:

  • A Good Attitude: Approaching learning, challenges, and opportunities with positivity.

  • Less Screen Time: Using technology purposefully while maintaining a healthy balance.

  • Future Creator Mindset: Moving from simply consuming technology to learning how to create with it.

  • Healthy and Happy Living: Remembering that technology should support a better life—not replace real-world experiences, relationships, health, and happiness.

This was an important reminder that AI education cannot exist in isolation. Teaching children about technology must also mean teaching them how to use it responsibly, creatively, and mindfully.

Celebrating Category A: The Youngest National Champions

Among the many inspiring stories from the championship were the achievements of our youngest creators in Category A (Age 5–8). These students proved that creativity does not have an age limit.

From Independence Day to Teachers’ Day

The success of the Independence Day Edition has created the momentum for the next chapter of the AI Creators Championship 2026. This time, we are turning the spotlight toward the people who help young minds discover their potential every day.

BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

What did your teacher teach you that you’ll never forget? Was there a moment when your teacher believed in you when you didn’t believe in yourself? Did your principal inspire you to dream bigger?

Now, students can turn those memories into AI-powered creative experiences. The Teachers’ Day Edition invites young creators to explore themes such as:

  • A Letter to My Teacher: Turn your gratitude into a creative letter.

  • A Memorable Moment: Recreate a moment you’ll never forget.

  • How My Teacher Inspired Me: Tell the story of how an educator changed your perspective, confidence, or dreams.

  • The Teacher Who Believed in Me: Celebrate someone who saw potential in you.

  • A Lesson Beyond the Textbook: Tell us about a lesson that changed the way you see the world.

The creative possibilities continue across AI Poster, AI Story Book, AI Animated Video, AI Reel, and AI Short Film.

“Your teacher inspired your story. Now it’s your turn to tell it.”

The Next Generation of AI Creators Is Ready

The Independence Day Edition showed us what young creators can accomplish when they are given the opportunity, tools, and encouragement to experiment. The Teachers’ Day Edition takes that idea one step further.

It isn’t just about technology. It is about gratitude, memories, and inspiration. Most importantly, it is about giving children a platform where their voices, ideas, and creativity can be seen.

A Final Word

The success of the Independence Day Edition was made possible by the students who dared to create, the schools that encouraged them, the parents who supported them, the educators who guided them, and the speakers who inspired them.

650+ young participants may have entered the championship. But the real achievement was much bigger: Thousands of ideas were imagined. Thousands of stories were created. Thousands of young minds experienced AI as creators.

And this is only the beginning. From celebrating freedom to celebrating the people who inspire us—let’s create beyond the classroom.
