Celebrating Category C: Young AI Creators Who Turned Ideas Into Impact

Meet the 13–15-year-old national champions, runners-up and emerging creators who transformed imagination, technology and purpose into remarkable AI-powered projects for the Independence Day Edition.

More than a competition

When teenagers learn AI, creativity gets a new canvas.

The Category C results show what happens when young people are given the opportunity to create with AI instead of simply consume technology. From imagining a better India to designing smarter roads, these students used AI as a creative and problem-solving partner.

Our belief at IBA EDU: students should not wait until adulthood to become creators. They can begin today by turning school-level ideas, questions and dreams into meaningful projects.

Category C National Champions

Six creative disciplines. Six different ways to think with AI.

Each discipline gave students a different canvas—from visual storytelling and digital art to animation, filmmaking and real-world innovation.

Ayantika Chakraborty — “My Dream India”

Narayana School, Howrah, Kolkata

Ayantika’s poster uses Independence Day as a starting point for a bigger idea: imagining an India shaped by positive thinking, innovation and a willingness to challenge negativity and superstition. Her work is a thoughtful reminder that the India we want tomorrow begins with the mindset we cultivate today.

Why it stands out: The project combines national pride with a personal call for a more positive and progressive India—showing that a poster can communicate an idea, not just an image.

Shivika Rajvanshi — “The Chronometer of Dreams”

Khaitan Public School

Shivika’s story follows Tara, a bright young Indian girl who discovers a glowing, gear-filled chronometer in her workshop. The device sends her from a 1947 village market into a future India of 2047, where she sees an eco-city filled with vertical gardens, sky-trams and friendly drone assistants.

The most inspiring part is Tara’s response: she returns to her desk and begins sketching green-tech blueprints. The story connects India’s freedom journey with the responsibility of creating a better future.

Ovi Ramesh Phadtare — “Unity in Diversity”

Shetkari Shikshan Sanstha High School

Ovi’s digital artwork presents unity in diversity as a core strength of India. Through the metaphor of a beautiful garden, the project celebrates differences in language, culture, religion and traditions while emphasizing tolerance, love and equality.

It is a strong example of how AI-assisted digital art can communicate a social message with visual imagination and emotional clarity.

Krishiv Gossain — “Indian Pothole Repair Vehicle”

Delhi Public School Noida

Krishiv’s IPRV concept tackles a familiar Indian road problem: potholes. The proposed AI-powered autonomous vehicle uses an ESP32-CAM, computer vision and ultrasonic sensors to detect potholes, estimate their size and position itself accurately.

The system is designed to clean the pothole, dispense quick-setting repair material and level the surface, while recording before-and-after images and repair details. The project demonstrates a particularly valuable form of student innovation: starting with a real-world problem and building a technology-led solution around it.

Dhruvin Jigar Parikh — “Letter from 2047”

Isaac Newton Global School

In “Letter from 2047,” a student discovers a mysterious letter from the future as India approaches 100 years of independence. The journey reveals a futuristic India, technological progress, environmental challenges and the importance of responsible citizens.

The film’s central message: the future is not simply something we reach—it is something we create through the choices we make today. The project connects the dreams of young people today with the India they hope to see tomorrow.
