Product Description The Scotch Filament Tape 897 is a medium strength, general purpose, clear fiberglass-reinforced tape -with a synthetic rubber resin adhesive ideal for medium-duty strapping, bundling and reinforcing. The synthetic rubber resin adhesive provides good adhesion to most surfaces, including a variety of plastics, carpets, natural fibers, and metals. From the Manufacturer Scotch® Filament Tape 897 is a better performing fiberglass-reinforced tape for light-to-medium duty bundling, strapping, reinforcing and palletizing. The specially-formulated synthetic rubber resin adhesive bonds with minimum rubdown, and the polypropylene backing provides excellent resistance to nicks, abrasion, moisture, and scuffing.Scotch® Filament Tape 897 is 6.0 mils thick, has adhesion of 60 oz/in width, tensile strength of 170 lbs/in and elongation at break of 3%.Filament-reinforced tapes and strapping tapes are high strength, reliable and affordable solutions for product and package integrity.
